While most of the flowers in the valley have finished, there are still some really nice areas around dunes with flowers. This is around Clark Dry Lake with Toro Peak in the background, from the past weekend (Photo: Sicco Rood).

There are a few small desert five-spots (Eremalche rotundifolia) on the Reserve this year. They tend to open around noon on a sunny day like today (Photos: Sicco Rood).

The Borrego Badlands is the place to check out desert lilies (Hesperocallis undulata) at this time. You can't miss them out there, if this is on your bucket list (Photo: Sicco Rood).
