Day 8: My go to strategy is to start talking quietly. It’s pretty powerful to see the ripple effect of students wanting to be able to hear what you have to say. #lisdchat

Day 7: Relevant work for s’s in my case means that I am finding ways for s’s to engage with the local workforce. Job shadowing, internships, guest speakers for their classes- anything to make learning relevant to real life. VOLY is a tool t’s can use to help with this. #lisdchat

Day 6: Well, this is officially my favorite question to date! I do this daily by attending business meetings, looking for new business contacts, and matching up community and business partners to our campuses. Also using VOLY is a great way to do this! #lisdchat

Day 4: The Happiness Advantage- great resource with practical advice for how to maintain a positive attitude in all circumstances and the benefits thereof. The more positive your mindset, the more productive you are! #lisdchat

Day 3: I find that I need some time alone- reading, working out, running errands. Something to recharge quietly so I can go back to the community and engage with business leaders on behalf of our students. #lisdchat

I have the privilege of exposing our students to current workers and the workforce. As they hear experts talk about the skills needed to succeed in the future, they get to realize that things like resilience and problem solving will be necessary in all future work. #lisdchat

A5: So many things! Keep on my rose tinted glasses at work and at a home and remember the ABCD’s. Emotions aren’t truth, so refocusing on the positive and moving forward from there. Should be life changing. #lisdchat
