Today our wonderful Blue Coat PE U16 Netball Team enjoyed a celebratory lunch with their coach, Miss Curley and Mr Higgins, after their recent success in becoming the Sisters in Sport National Cup Champions! We're so proud of their commitment and dedication - what a team! πͺπ

Huge congratulations to Year 9 pupil Thomas, a 1st Dan black belt in Karate, who competed in the SSKA Championships this weekend in Warrington and won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. π₯π₯ Wow, what an amazing achievement in such a disciplined sport! π₯π₯ #proudtobeblue

Last year, The Royal Oldham Hospital collaborated with The Blue Coat Sixth Form Art department, commissioning two vibrant murals for their staff canteen. Year 13's Poppy created a stunning Owl mural, receiving heartfelt thanks and an onerary plaque π¨ποΈ

Our second 'Big Read' of the year is just past the halfway point and competition is very close at the moment with Lord Mothersill on 190, Birley Hall 181 and Rountree Wrigley on 165. There's still time to get those books from the Library for some Easter reading! #thebigread
Today we held our Rhetoric By Heart Competition where students give a speech on a matter close to their hearts. With acclaimed children's author πAshley Thorpeπ on the judging panel, pupils didn't make the decision-making process easy, so well done to our winner Hamza from 8H! π
