For a potential Gulf of Maine lease sale, we carefully selected 8 areas that represent only 20% of the initial Call Area acreage. We prioritized avoiding North Atlantic right whales, offshore fishing grounds, and vessel transit routes, while supporting the region’s energy goals.

We are seeking comment on the Oregon Proposed Sale Notice and the draft Environmental Assessment.

These comments will inform provisions for a proposed sale and our understanding of the potential impact of leasing in the area.
