Aargh nearly missed #WildflowerHour ! The white form of Ivy-leaved Toadflax. Sometimes called “Kenilworth ivy' for Kenilworth Castle, where it is reputed to have first appeared in England back in the 1600s
Botanising at 25 mph, whilst on Wensleydale Railway , - photos hards to take, but I had to try to capture the Early Purple Orchids by the trackside #wildflowerhour 😊

A trip up to South Gare this week and I was treated to a stunning display of Heath Dog-violet. Viola canine, growing on Cabin Rocks, this is a large area of slag from the former iron works! which makes up a large part of South Gare #wildflowerhour
Not much in the way of flowers this week for #wildflowerhour
No Orchids unfortunately, but a first for me, the lovely Crosswort.
Yellow Archangel (Lamiastrum galebdolon) marddanhadlen felen, an ancient woodland indicator, very, very close to flowering in the hedge for this evenings #WildFlowerHour .
Good numbers of Small-flowered Catchfly at Gorleston cliffs this year including var. quinquevulneraria. Also the largest specimens I've seen, suggesting autumn germination and possibly benefitting from wet spring #wildflowerhour
A very pretty colour form of Dovesfoot Cranesbill, Geranium molle, in Bromley Park for #WildflowerHour .
