Kirkton High opened 19 Oct 1960, but pupils started in August. It was said to be “the largest and most modern secondary school in the east of Scotland”. Structural issues caused it to close in 1973 for 30 months. It closed for good in 1997. #Dundee #SchooloftheWeek
