Sad to say that former BBC NI political editor Stephen Grimason died last night. He was 67. He was also a former Director of Communications at Stormont with the NI Executive. Stephen will be deeply missed, but always loved, by family, friends and colleagues.

Incredibly sad news. Thoughts are with all his family, colleagues and friends.

What a day! UUP AGM today and it was filled with great speeches by Doug Beattie and Jill Macauley as well as promoting the union in particular Peter Shirlow speech struck a cord. Finally there was a Q&A held by Robin Swann which was interesting to listen to! Ulster Unionist Party 💪

Anyone who has had recent experience with our NHS will tell you our Health Service needs prioritised.
DUP, SF, and Aliance Party promised you our Health Service would be prioritised. Minister Swann has been let down, and the public have been let down.

Some very committed people will try to solve this, but the budget and funding shortages have devastating real life consequences.

I don’t know Garbhan but I pray he makes a full recovery and thoughts remain with him, his family and The SDLP colleagues.

A budget without a programme for government is just shifting money around departments. A budget which doesn’t have collective executive approval is a recipe for division and underpins silo mentality. An executive which doesn’t govern as an executive is ripe for further collapse.

A levelling up opportunity for Northern Ireland - which already contributes so much to the defence effort.

The Alliance Party are weak on national security. 👎
