#UNGA established Preparatory Commission for the implementation of the #BBNJ Treaty. Necessary work to prepare the first BBNJ COP will start soon.

This progress provides a big boost to EU🇪🇺 countries to accelerate the #RaceForRatification , and sends an important signal to the rest of the world that the EU is serious about urgent marine life protection in areas beyond countries’ maritime boundaries.
