Through almost two full rounds and I really like most classes. Very few egregious reaches or ignored needs. Good draft!

Great question. Gonna depend on matchups and personnel.

I imagine Slay and Blankenship will almost always start. CJGJ can be safety in base and then step down to slot in the nickel, putting DeJean at safety. Quinyon and DeJean can fight for CB2 with Bradberry as well.

Packers were huge DeJean fans at 41 overall. Eagles leap them and get another outside CB option in DeJean -- but now, with Quinyon Mitchell in hand, they can be a lot more flexible with DeJean's alignment and role.

My three favorite Day 2 WRs were Ricky Pearsall, Xavier Legette, and Keon Coleman. Little early than I woulda guessed, but good to see 'em off board.

Coleman is great for the Bills. Three level receiver with true WR1 potential. Body type they didn't have in the building.

I wrote about Michael Penix at 8, Bo Nix at 12, and how two crazy picks actually tell us two very different things about quarterback investment in the modern NFL.

If I were a GM, I think I’d call the Raiders and see just how married the new regime is to Michael Mayer.

I do think Mayer and Bowers can thrive together. But Mayer would easily be TE2 in this class. If they’re off him, I’d rather trade a 2 for him than spend it on a 2024 TE.

Assuming Michael Penix's contract is 4 yrs, $22M (the contract of Pick 8 from last year)...

He'll make $5.5M APY, which is 31st among NFL QBs.
