It’s been a real joy to have these new Kayfabe episodes released. I couldn’t watch at first because it was too soon but now I’m just grateful for them. Today’s ep is about Joe Kubert’s Punisher story so here is an original from it. It’s always fun to hear Ed talk about Joe’s work

three years since the world lost john paul leon, one of the best ever.

Today we re-framed Jan van Eyck’s Arnolfini Portrait. We replaced the late 19th century gothic fantasy frame with a newly acquired somber gilded 15th century moulding. The figures appear larger and the details crisper without the competition of the incongruous carving.
