“What will I do if they invade Rafah?,” Ghazal, a 14-year-old girl w. cerebral palsy who had lost her wheelchair in an attack.
Ghazal is just one of 1.5 mil. ppl currently trapped in Rafah, who had already fled multiple attacks.
Where are they expected to flee now? And how?

I use Ealing Broadway station & the platform gap is terrifying. I’m scared either I will fall &/or Guide Dog Ava will be injured.

Yet staff will repeatedly refuse me use of the ramp or pressure me not to use it, because I’m blind not a wheelchair user.

This 👇 is why voting is completely inaccessible for people

The tactile overlay did not align with the ballot paper boxes, meaning I couldn’t vote independently & required a sighted person to put the X in the box!

This really isn’t good enough.

There is no dedicated funding or Government support for deaf athletes. Deaf athletes cannot compete in the Paralympics unless they have another Paralympic disability, so deaf athletes are excluded from accessing this funding.

Peston Jeremy Hunt Scope PIP is not about getting disabled people back into work.

You can work full time and still claim PIP.

It is there to tackle the extra costs you face as a disabled person. Those costs don't disappear if you work.

Next week, I will be leading a teach in on Palestine Solidarity🇵🇸 & Disability Justice♿️ at an encampment of a major university. (More info to come.) What would you like to see in such a session?

I am especially interested in testimonies/vids of disabled Gazans & protestors.

I was refused PIP with an active cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment. Apparently my condition of incurable cancer is not impacting my day to day life. I did a mandatory reconsideration with extra paperwork & refused again.

People don't choose to be on disability benefits. It's their last resort.

Stop blaming people with mental health problems. If the Secretary of State wants a grown-up conversation about this, then he should meet with us.

We've sent an invite. 1/3

I have yet to hear an actual PIP recipient asked what they think of these so-called PIP “reforms.” So much media coverage, so little substance.
