Few days ago I was able to visit the most affected in Khulna of #CycloneRemal together with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) and IFRC Asia Pacific teams, where we witnessed first hand the destruction to the affected communities. Our gratitude and admiration to our donors and volunteers!

The floods in Sylhet are impacting millions of people, affecting shelters and livelihoods. Together with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) we have visited the affected communities in the most remotes areas, and accompanied our volunteers in the distribution of potable water and food.
A month has passed since I took these pictures, since then, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) with the support of IFRC Asia Pacific Emergency Appeal, we’ve been able to provide food, potable water, shelter assistance, primary health care to thousands of people living in the most affected areas.
.IFRC , from its IFRC-DREF, swiftly allocated CHF 1 million to respond to the devastating floods in Sylhet region. This will allow local branches volunteer network of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) to make a significant difference.Let’s stand together & bring hope to those affected!🫰
Heavy rainfall in Cox’s Bazar camps over the past few days has heightened the risk of landslides. Our dedicated Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) and Cyclone Preparedness Programme (CPP) camp volunteers tirelessly spreading awareness and assist with relocation efforts. Together, we can protect lives!

📢 #CycloneRemal update With support from IFRC, Bangladesh Red Crescent has distributed cash grants of BDT 6,000 to each of 12,506 affected families in southern🇧🇩. Our goal is to reach a total of 21,000 families through Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS)’s response operation. #HumanitarianAid
