In Afghanistan, more than 50% of schools have no latrines, handwashing facilities and drinkable water.

Afghan Red Crescent, supported by @IFRC, is working to bring safe drinking water, boys and girls toilets, and handwashing stations to schools across Afghanistan.

Great to receive Amb Minata SAMATE to the IFRC office in Geneva. We discussed humanitarian challenges in Africa including the issues of migration, disasters, climate change, health issues and food insecurity and agreed to work together to build a strong foundation to tackle them.
