Our twins will be 21 tomorrow. My wife was inspired (lead) to back to school and became a Labor and Delivery nurse (BS). She’s delivered countless babies over her career, in many states.

The boys came home 2 weeks later. Almost 2 weeks after that, my wife walked into our home under her own power. Hallelujah.
I kept my promise. My boys were raised in the church. They are serving God and the congregation. They’re better sons than I deserve

To wrap this up, we had one boy that was healthy and ready to go home within 2 days. The other (John) stayed in NICU for 2 weeks. Through some fine HR work, it was arranged so that the healthy boy (James) could stay until his brother was ready to go home as well.

By Friday afternoon her condition was starting to improve. False hope? I thought. By Saturday she was conscious and improving more rapidly. I was witnessing a miracle. The doctors were astounded.

I know it’s dangerous to make promises to God. But, I prayed that no matter the outcome, we would return and serve Him as a family. Whatever the outcome. I know his will is perfect. I accept that.
