I gave another talk about the Two Parent Privilege to college students today.

And again, during the Q&A, a college student asked me why I don’t talk about porn/TikTok/OnlyFans, and how addiction to those sites is affecting young people’s ability to form healthy relationships.

New Title IX guidelines victimize women in locker rooms and infantilize us (while victimizing men after the fact) on dates. The exact opposite, on both counts, of actual female empowerment. Wrote about it Law & Liberty in reconsidering Katie Roiphe’s seminal The Morning After.

I'd endorse this Michael Sean Winters take on the key reasons, beyond the culture war, why American Catholicism has declined. A lot of progressive-conservative debates are over what forms of Catholicism 'generate culture' most effectively/ fruitfully:

One of the most consequential developments of our time. In the prime of life (18-55), there are now more 🇺🇸 men & women who are single/childless than married w/ children. 👇🏼

Gallup-Walton surveys: 47% of teens/young adults “feel anxious,” but are happier if feeling 'loved by others,” “get enough sleep,” seldom socially compare, and (therefore) don’t spend 3+ hours daily on social media. No surprise to @jonhaidt or Jean Twenge (author of GENERATIONS, iGEN) gallup.com/analytics/5066…

Rachel Cohen I think it makes sense to give all parents (dads/adoptive parents/etc) a modest amount of leave to help them support their partner or adjust to parenthood, but recognize that moms who give birth have greater physical/recovery burdens and so they should get a little more

In *part* a consequence of a society in which people assume they are their own and belong to themselves. Also social conditions that make it challenging to find a spouse.

This breaks my heart. I know it's insanely hard out there for both men and women -- but do what you can to marry well and receive the gift of children!

Why are young women raised in R homes less likely to ID w parents' party ID than young women raised in D homes? Daniel Cox argues:

✔️LGBTQ issues
✔️Abortion
✔️Higher Ed
✔️Trump

But... 'impact on [young] men seems muted'. Y men raised in R homes much less affected by these.
