A Drake Relays shocker.

Prairie's Jackson Johannes was not the favorite in the boys 400m dash. He was not the second, nor the third. Johannes came in with the SEVENTH best time in the state, and today he broke a Relays record at 47.67! How'd he feel before the rest?

Nervous!

Myth: The 'No days off' mentality is how you become a champion --

Rest days are vital in keeping you healthy and adapting.

Without them, training becomes busy work that does more harm than good.

Want to reduce risk of injury + elevate your performance?

Respect your days off.

Attention coaches --

This is your regularly scheduled reminder to take time to warm up before jumping straight into demos.

Too many times I've caught a twinge in my hip flexor, groin, or hamstring when I've forgotten to warm up.

Your health is important too!
