Congratulations, Class of 2024! 🎓🎉 Bridgewater College recognized 282 undergraduates and 35 master's students receiving degrees during the College's 144th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 4.

The Class of 2024 will don their caps and gowns at the Baccalaureate service on Friday, May 3, at 6 p.m. in Cole Hall. Rev. Wilfred E. Nolen ’63, a Bridgewater College trustee, will deliver the message during the worship service. Our senior Eagles are prepared to fly the nest 🦅

The campus community hopped into the last day of classes with Springfest! 🦘 Students blew bubbles, interacted with baby kangaroos, raced on inflatable courses and more to unwind before the end of the semester.

The end of the spring semester marks an important time for graduating senior art majors whose senior thesis exhibitions are now proudly displayed in various locations across campus. Exhibitions will be showcased now through Friday, May 3, and are free and open to the public.

Bridgewater College honored approximately 50 students for academic excellence and community service at an award ceremony on Saturday, April 20. BC is proud to acknowledge the hard work and dedication demonstrated by these students.

The African Student Association in coordination with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion presented Afro-Fest on Wednesday, April 17 in Cole Hall. Afro-Fest is an annual event celebrating African culture through musical performances, fashion, and dance.

Dr. Oskar Scheikl, former Superintendent of Rockingham County Public Schools, will serve as the College's Commencement speaker for 2024, and The Rev. Wilfred E. Nolen ’63, Bridgewater College trustee, will serve as Baccalaureate speaker.

☀️😎🔭 Students and the BC community gathered to witness the partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. Eclipse glasses and viewing devices such as Sunspotter solar telescopes allowed spectators to safely view the extraordinary celestial event in front of the McKinney Center.

Thanks to the generosity of the Bridgewater College community, we crushed our goal for the annual Day of Giving on Wednesday, April 3 🎉 Our staff are working diligently to crunch the final numbers raised to support the ongoing connections students create at Bridgewater.

Students and faculty had the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments this year across all areas of study during BC's annual ASPIRE celebration. Members of the campus community gathered on Wed. March 27 for the final research poster presentations of the event.

Political analysts Jonah Goldberg and Mara Liasson presented an endowed lecture on Monday, March 25. Goldberg, a syndicated political columnist and FOX news analyst Mara Liasson delivered analysis on the upcoming election, discussing the challenges both sides of the aisle.

The house was packed for the first Admitted Students Day. From visiting academic departments, touring campus and exploring the activities fair, the day was full of fun ways to make connections. We are so excited to have the Class of 2028 start their BC journey soon! 🦅
