Great news. Great perimeter defender, great positional size, and still plenty of room to improve offensively at just 20 years old.

Will be Duke’s first three year starter at point guard in over a decade.

Return Foster/Stewart/Power alongside him and get to work in the portal.

The correct move for both parties.

Mark contributed to some great moments during his freshman year. Duke going undefeated at home, the 10 game win streak, and an ACC Title in an important transitional year for the program.

Wishing him the best and hope he finds the right spot.

What wins championships isn’t age or experience, it’s coaching, talent, chemistry, playmaking, shooting, rebounding, defense, rim protection, toughness, competitiveness, motivation, focus, health, and good fortune in a six game single elimination tournament.

Been plenty of chatter over the last few yrs, much of it from idiots/bad faithers, that teams relying on young NBA talent are incapable of winning big in this era of CBB.

UConn just routed the field starting a OAD Top 10 pick, a sophomore lottery pick, & a sophomore Top 40 pick.

And the answer is a resounding no.

It wasn’t UConn vs the field, it was UConn vs history.

Largest point differential in tournament history.

I really do hope Zach Edey enjoys his riches and time in the NBA as a 9th man who plays 12 minutes per game and gets cut from the playoff rotation, because ohhhhhh man am I gonna enjoy never watching him play another college basketball game.

For the entirety of this tournament it felt like we were headed to an inevitable UConn-Purdue title game that the media would bill as an undisputed heavyweight title fight between the two best teams in the country, when in actuality no team was in UConn’s league from the jump.

Edey better get real used to turning his head around and seeing his man finishing an alley-oop off a pick and roll.

Need the staff to stop avoiding the portal like it’s the leftovers in the back of the fridge they don’t want to eat. Need them and the admissions office to get on the same page.

The programs who are aggressive in their offseason roster building flourish. Stop settling.

Above all else, I am absolutely desperate for a Duke team with 9-10 legitimate rotation players.

This perpetual issue needs to end. My number one priority heading into this offseason.

Duke folded and there’s a level of blame to be placed upon everyone, but you cant’t blame Scheyer for Proctor, McCain, and Roach shooting 10-37 from the field. And without Foster, there was no where else to turn.
