#BurtonFD & Beaufort Schools, SC created 22 new Immediate Responders. Teachers & staff learned about Opiates & Narcan, STOP THE BLEED® & certified in CPR. This increases the chance that if you, or your loved, suffers an emergency in Beaufort County, SC someone nearby will know what to do.

Yesterday morning, the #BurtonFD & Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to two back-to-back vehicle collisions in Beaufort County, SC resulting in traffic delays but no serious injuries. This brings the total number of vehicle collisions since Friday to (7). Drive safe today.

After a weekend of serious vehicle collisions involving trapped occupants & rollovers, #BurtonFD responded to (2) fires yesterday resulting in (3) people suffering burns, (2) of which were serious. Please take a breath and a moment for safety this week.

3rd person burned in 2nd house fire of the day for #BurtonFD . Just before 4:30pm #BurtonFD & Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a reported house fire on Broad River Dr in Beaufort County, SC. An adult female sustained minor burns in the fire but was not transported. More information to come.

#BurtonFD Beaufort/Port Royal FD Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, SC on scene of a fire at a homeless encampment off Parris Island Gtwy in Beaufort County, SC. Two adult victims suffered burns & have been transported. Fire is under investigation. More information to follow.

This weekend #BurtonFD responded to 34 emergencies; including (2) vehicle fires, one at a gas station, (5) vehicle collisions, (2) involved vehicles rolling over & (1) collision #BurtonFD & Beaufort/Port Royal fire crews, along with Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) rescued trapped occupants.

Yesterday #BurtonFD & Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a 4th MVC on Parris Island Gtwy in Beaufort County, SC. This MVC occurred at the intersection of Palomino Dr. This is the 5th MVC this weekend & the 2nd involving a vehicle rolling over. Map focused on MVCs on PI Gtwy 2021-today.

#BurtonFD responded to 11 emergencies yesterday; including, (3) MVCs, a building fire, & vehicle fire at a gas station. In an MVC at Parris Island Gtwy & Grober Hill Rd in Beaufort County, SC, #BurtonFD , Bfd/Port Royal FD, & Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) freed occupants from a rolled over vehicle.

Just past 8am today, #BurtonFD responded to a vehicle fire on Trask Pkwy after the driver noticed smoke while refueling. The driver immediately backed away from the pumps & firefighters were able to extinguish the fire without further incident or injuries.

#BurtonFD celebrates Administrative Professional Nichole Bright. From pay, to overseeing budgets, & benefits, to coffee & carbs on scene, to helping families in need, to coordinating celebrations, to her friendly smile that greets us & our citizens, we are grateful for her.

Sunday #BurtonFD & Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) found Griffin laying in a parking lot. He had been struck by a vehicle in a 'hit & run' & seriously injured. Crews started care until he could be transported to a veterinarian clinic in Bluffton. They are still trying to locate his owner.
