Came across this mushroom recently. I've never noticed gills exposed on the top of a mushroom cap like this ? Is this normal or unusual and can anybody help me with ID please ?

Yesterday Lochan a’ Chreagain was back for a short time. The area to the west of the Quoich water sometimes floods in high rainfall, creating an ‘ephemeral waterbody’, known as Lochan a’ Chreagain. It is believed the lochan first formed after the Muckle Spate of 1829.
