We had to attack quite a few protected buildings in Iraq and Afghanistan. However Gaza is not comparable to either of those. Also, how did Iraq and Afghanistan work out? We want Israel to follow those examples do we?

Far from it. Hamas are genocidal cowards who have brought about so much death, destruction and suffering on their own people. They are competent enough at slaughtering unarmed civilians but very quickly run away, surrender or die when facing IDF soldiers.
