Given the more favourable conditions and reduced fire activity, this wildfire will no longer be considered a Wildfire of Note. Additionally, the Central Ok Emergency has rescinded the associated Evacuation Alerts and downgraded the Evacuation Order to an Evacuation Alert.
Due to a decline for Emergency Support Services, reception centre volunteers will relocate to the Resiliency Centre to assist evacuees starting tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit 403 – 3031 Louie Dr. ☎️Resiliency Centre at 250-469-6327 or ✉️[email protected].
Following another cool evening, the Glen Lake wildfire remains at 1,116 hectares. BC Wildfire Service reports that the wildfire remains out of control. It’s being actioned by 41 personnel and 16 pieces of heavy equipment including aerial operations. Read more: cordemergency.ca/updates/glen-l…
Thanks to BC Wildfire Service and local fire crews, the McDougall Creek wildfire is now held. Crews continue to work on mop up activities, conduct patrols and extinguish hotspots.
