Statistics Canada has just released a new report on evictions in Canada, which shows that are on the rise. Mirroring BSH research, evictions for sale, landlord-use or renovation are now the top reason for eviction, not non-payment of rent.

Late 2022, the government of Canada increased the minimum charitable spending rate from 3.5% to 5%. If fully implemented by foundations, that would increase charitable expenditures by $200m a year.
