OK, not #WildCardiffHour , but what a fantastic experience! Cañon Alas Verdes, Oaxaca, Mexico - got up at 4am for a 2-hour hike to watch the endangered Military (or Green) Macaws fly out for the day. Even luckier that one perched on a cactus nearby for a while! #BirdsSeenIn2024

I've seen mating adders but not fighting adders, wow!

What a strange bird, the squirrel cuckoo! It kind of runs along branches like a squirrel and its flights are just short hops from tree to tree. With tail it's nearly half a meter long! Seen in Morelia yesterday #BirdsSeenIn2024 #birdwatching #birdphotography
