I can’t recommend this enough. I used my real name out of spite because a professor I had at university said to use a man’s name since women couldn’t sell horror successfully. While I proved him wrong, I also f*cked myself 🥲

When I volunteered to slush read for Sanitarium Magazine (an extremely small press at the time), the very first thing I had to do was agree to not send work in for consideration because it was a conflict of interest. If the little guys can get this right, the big pubs should too.

For whatever it's worth, I want to voice my support for Aquino Loayza: Spectrum Jabroni & lor, high Goopress of horror🪱👑 for their work on Spectrum & Third Estate Books. I hope all involved will continue to trust that they both want nothing but the best for their collaborators with Spectrum & all future projects.

I just wanted to highlight my last read ‘Bound in Flesh’ edited by lor, high Goopress of horror🪱👑 what an incredible curated body horror collection! Excited whenever they release new projects! 🪱

As mind-blowing as this week has been - the silver lining I choose to see is that all these things coming to light means we're doing right as a community, and people know they will be believed and supported. There will always be 💩 people, but we are growing and doing right 💜🔥
