Scientists from Cambridge Earth Sciences and Cambridge Geography are involved in new research on lavas erupted in 2021 from Fagradalsfjall, #Iceland 🌋

University of Iceland led the study in nature, which gives a rare view of deep churnings beneath the #volcano .

Meet Thomas Aubry (he/him) Dr. Thomas J. Aubry a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Cambridge. He works on interactions between climate and volcanoes. His most recent project is VESPA, ivespa.co.uk, a database curated by a dedicated IAVCEI Tephra Hazard Modeling Commission working group.
