Panthers GM Scott Fitterer said it was right decision & value for future to trade Christian McCaffrey. But Fitterer noted it was hard given McCaffrey's 'special' legacy in Carolina.

Fitterer said he got 3 hard offers for McCaffrey. Went back & forth w/ 2 final teams. 49ers won.
