What’s happening at Columbia will go down as a pivotal moment in U.S. student protest history.

Yet Columbia, home to the Pulitzers and the Knight First Amendment, isn’t letting journalists, faculty, researchers in.

The school's actions are incompatible with freedom of the press. No university should be allowed to maintain a reputation while making its name synonymous with a violent crackdown on the American free press, but the top journalism school absolutely cannot.

If any kid is hurt tonight, responsibility will fall on the mayor and univ presidents.

Other leaders and schools have found a safe, de-escalatory path. This is the opposite of leadership and endangers public safety. A nightmare in the making.

I urge the Mayor to reverse course.

The Cass report systematic review methodology doesn’t match its PROSPERO pre-registration.

The authors used an entirely different scale (an adapted one they created) instead of the scale from their pre-registration.

That’s about as big of a bias red flag as there is.

Depending on the specific question the going rate seems to be somewhere between 100 and infinity trans people per one cis inconvenience.

The only real debate in trans rights, broadly speaking, is over how many trans people it's acceptable to irreversibly harm to avoid one cis person being inconvenienced.

This is a significant victory and my hat is off to all the people in Kansas who put in the work to make this happen.

When a transphobic cis person says 'listen to detransitioners' what they really mean is 'listen to what I, the enlightened cis person, believe the existence of detrans people means' because those assholes don't listen to detrans people anymore than they listen to trans people.

One of the Cass Review advisory members, Dr Kaltiala, took part in a conference calling trans youth “disturbed” and discussing how to prevent trans youth in Bhutan.

She was the one who facilitated Cass meeting DeSantis Medical Board.

WOW.

Right-leaning news outlets have published false claims about the Cass Report. But mainstream news has let this go uncorrected, instead focusing on nitpicky objections to the precise words used by trans people critical of the Report.
