If the Govt cares at all about the UK’s world famous #pubs , new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak MUST step in & introduce a package of measures to get pubs through the winter, inc further/better help with energy bills, a VAT cut for ALL hospitality sales (inc beer) & a rates holiday.

Hospitality is the hardest hit sector in the UK.

Peoples lives are being crushed, huge job losses and its affecting the whole supply chain.

Without Gov't intervention, it may never recover.

Going forward I would love to do some more media and public engagement work around the economic, social, cultural and historical importance of #pubs with a extra focus on village and community pubs #notjustapub

Just listened to Tom Harwood's 'interview' with a publican - only we didn't hear the publican just the ego that is Harwood & his patronising comment after having been cut off - he wants to hear from a 'sensible' publican. Why would they bother, just to be talked over?
