In 2022, the world hit a new record-low of 2.2% burned area. Yet you’ll struggle to find that reported anywhere, writes Bjorn Lomborg

Rishi Sunak said it would make “absolutely no sense” for the UK not to take advantage of its domestic fossil fuel resources. Ahem. Why was a moratorium on fracking reinstalled on the 26th of October last year then? telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/…

Contrary to IPCC claims, Nobel Prize winning physicist John Clauser argues that climate is set by cloud cover. More clouds enshroud the Earth when the temperature is too high, and vice-versa.

So, admit that it was wrong to call for the abolition of ICE car sales and demand the repeal of Net Zero and the Climate Change Act.

Possible, but by no means certain, that in due course this will be deleted and a non-apology apology given.

But it’s straight out racism isn’t it

What puzzles me is why the French raided Lidl with such enthusiasm. You'd give yourself a hernia carrying more than £5's worth of stuff from Lidl.

David In the energy panic I turned my gas boiler flow down to 50° and it couldn't get the house above 18°. Clearly for an ASHP we'd need different rads and lots more insulation

David Ours doesn't cope with temps below 3 C. This is in a new build specifically designed for ASHP. We had the plumbers back and they called in the design team who said in it is ' in specs' and maybe it is the underlay! Our answer is to put electric fan heaters in!

David My cousin bought one and luckily got a grant but the thing doesn’t work. They have had to install additional electric heaters in every room of the house in order to keep warm in the winter. The thing is also ugly and makes a terrible noise, neighbours not pleased.

David Yip ,I’m a fridge /ac engineer with over 30yr experience.Come across various heat pump applications over the years .Once you hit 45c you start affecting the efficiency of the machine .You can get 70ish out but it’s very inefficient.Much larger units would be required

King Charles III variant David Our provincial government is pushing heat pumps here in Nova Scotia, the thing is, they tend to quit if the temperature drops below -25 Celsius. No thanks.

David King Charles III variant To be fair though, if you fitted a crank to the heat pump and turned it by hand, you’d feel quite warm pretty quickly.

I’ll get my coat …
