It was an honour to host my second annual Good Neighbour Awards ceremony on Friday and celebrate the many neighbours who make a positive difference in our communities every single day.

Thank you to everyone who attended the ceremony!

This story is a heartbreaking portrait of the state of public education in Ontario. When we fail to invest in education, it is the most vulnerable children in our system who suffer.

This needs to change.

The government told people that no one would have to pay for health care with their credit cards and yet my constituents are being charged thousands for necessary cataract surgeries.

Nobody in Ontario should have to pay for health care services.

Thank you to the representatives from First Work who came to Queens Park yesterday to discuss the future of employment supports for folks across Ontario.

These supports provide so much to so many, they deserve meaningful investments from the gov to continue their good work.

If the government was truly worried about students facing distractions in schools, they would be making investments to address increased levels of violence, chronic staff shortages, and the mental health crisis, instead of dodging responsibility at every turn.

I was so happy to connect with reps from Ontario Federation of Agriculture to discuss the issues facing farmers today.

As the daughter of farmers, I know that farming isn't just a job, it's an integral part of Ontario's economy and provides our province with the sustenance it needs to grow.

I've spoken to many tenants in Ottawa who are met with AGIs year after year so that corporate landlords can increase their profits despite doing minimal repairs.

We desperately need to fix the LTB and bring in real rent control in Ontario.

I was so happy to present Keiran's petition in the Legislature calling on the govt to double the budget for the Student Nutrition Program & the First Nation Student Nutrition Program. Thank you to the students & staff at Collège catholique Franco-Ouest for signing this petition.

The govt's budget does nothing to address the affordability crisis. It does nothing for the working folks lining up at food banks. It does nothing for everyone looking for affordable housing. The solutions exist, its time for the gov to get to work and start implementing them.

The Affordable Energy Act would reduce Hydro bills, fight climate change, & help with extended power outages, but the Ford gov is not supporting it.

The deferred vote is happening Monday & I hope the gov will reconsider & support this positive solution.

It was an honour to speak at the National Capital Heavy Construction Association AGM last night in Ottawa West—Nepean.

I know there are 'roadblocks' to building the infrastructure we need and my door is always open so that I can learn more and advocate on your behalf.

Yesterday Lecce attacked school boards, calling them incompetent, but the truth is they are making difficult choices because of his funding cuts.

If funding had just kept pace with inflation, Windsor-Essex would have $49.9 million more this year alone.

We are witnessing the largest cut to public education funding in the history of this province.

Instead of constantly attacking teachers and school board trustees, the Minister should just fund education properly. Our children deserve so much better from this government.

There are organizations in Ontario doing incredible work to provide primary and preventative care, yet this gov't refuses to support them in this budget.

Instead, this gov't is allowing our ERs to become even more overburdened, costing taxpayers even more in the end.

Ottawa lost a warrior last week when it lost Voula Sardelis.

Voula inspired change.

In her memory we will continue to push for the rights of seniors and people with disabilities.

As a way to 'address' violence and mental health issues in schools, the gov has allocated $30 million for surveillance cameras.

Apparently, our schools are supposed to watch on video as students, teachers, and ed workers get attacked without being able to do anything about it.
