Alabama made quick work of Ole Miss, beating the Rebels, 12-0, in seven innings. Ole Miss is 6-13 in the SEC. Game two is Friday at 6:30 p.m.

I have no idea what's wrong with Austin Simmons, but he seems to be favoring his left arm. He's eating and drinking with his right arm only and keeping the left one hanging and close to his body. Giving only right-handed 5's, too. Almost like it's wrapped but again no clue.

Ole Miss, to this point, has been outscored 64-19 in SEC series openers.
