Inspired by the post below, re bird song, I recorded my regular dog walk this morning in #SuttonPark
We would be much the worse off if we continue to lose song 🎶 birds. The sound of birds is important to our mental health, it encourages hopefulness. #loveparks
After leaving Sutton Park at the end of the breeding season last year, ZAk has returned to his territory once again in the park. Again, he's paired up with an unringed female. Great photos from Michael Hughes clearly showing the white letters on his darvic leg ring.

TimInBrum Jane Findlay Anne Team4Nature Chris Millward Jnr I feel the same about suddenly hearing that drumming sound echoing through woodland. I talked to a trainee GP recently about bird song and she asked if the sound of 'seagulls' making her think of being at the sea side counted. Perhaps we need to say the sight and sounds of birds.
Jane Findlay Naturally Birmingham Anne Team4Nature Chris Millward Jnr I love listening out for wood peckers.. their sound is so unique. Rarely hear cuckoos unfortunately.
