This year, we’re recruiting 450 extra staff across our frontline services and contact centres as well getting 46 new emergency ambulances, growing our fleet by 28. 🚑 This will all help to manage extra demand and help you when you need us most.  #Ambulance

Phew 😅. When someone chokes, their airway can either be partly or fully blocked which means they are unable to breathe properly. Helping them clear the blockage quickly is key.

A LUCAS device is a specialist piece of equipment that can automatically give chest compressions to a patient in cardiac arrest. This frees up clinicians to provide other intervention that can give the patient the best possible chance of survival. #Ambulance

You never know when you may need to know life-saving CPR skills. We’ll guide you through it but it’s worthwhile brushing up on your knowledge so you know what to do to help in the event of a cardiac arrest when every second counts. ⬇️
