Lifeway Research discovering that there's no Christian Nationalism in the SBC is a little like the captain of the Titanic insisting that there were no icebergs in the north Atlantic - as the ship was sinking.

Then there's the Baptist Faith & Message article XV: 'All Christians are 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 to make the will of Christ supreme in our own lives 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮.'

I don't like the term 'church hurt.' Just sayin. Some lump too much into it, effectively minimizing horrific crimes. A pastor's prolonged repetitive childhood rapes are more than 'church hurt.'

And telling me, 'SHE had church hurt & SHE found new church' doesn't help. #ChurchToo

As a chaplain in Florida, I echo this: I am staunchly against this new law. I am for separation of church & state. I am for meeting requirements & training. And this seems more like a political flex to get points with fanbase, disingenuous at best & harmful at worst.
