Two things that could help stabilize the #nuclear situation:
1. Move away from Launch On Warning. The days of the chance of a crippling Soviet first-strike are gone. If we're attacked, we can destroy the attacker, but we can take our time to decide.
2. Adopt a No First Use pledge
