Springhill Ave. east of I-65 has reopened for drivers.

Royal Street will be closed Mon, 1/16/23 beginning at 7 a.m. The block between Government and Dauphin Streets will be closed. The work is expected to take 16-18 hours to complete, with the possibility of the closure remaining on Tuesday. The detour route is Water Street.

Beginning Mon, Jan 16th, Springhill Ave. will be closed just east of I-65 for railroad improvements. This project will require Springhill Ave. to be closed for upwards of 10 days beginning at 5:30 AM on the 16th.

Beginning Wed, Jan. 11th, McGregor Ave. will be closed between Old Shell Rd & Springhill Ave for sidewalk, lighting & curb & gutter improvements. The project will last approximately 12 months. The detour route will be Old Shell Rd to the west of I-65 Service Rd to Springhill Ave.

Government St east of the Bankhead Tunnel to Jackson St is shut down until further notice due to the situation outside of Government Plaza involving 1 armed individual in his vehicle. It's not an active shooter situation. Everyone inside Government Plaza is safe and unharmed.

If you have an unpaid parking ticket from
the City of Mobile you may be receiving one of these
tickets in the mail. This is an official Municipal Offense Ticket. Anyone who has not paid their parking tickets may have their car booted starting August 8, 2022.

Pinehill recycling center is closed for the rest of the week due to mechanical issues. Citizens can continue to drop off recycling at the center on Museum Drive or Mobile County, Alabama's center on Hitt Drive.

The City of Mobile’s Recycling Drop-Off Centers at 4851 Museum Drive and 308 Pinehill Drive will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 17, so our staff can spend the holiday with their loved ones. Both recycling centers will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 18.

Attention: Due to a gas leak, the Mobile Police is currently redirecting traffic on Airport Boulevard between Mt. Island Dr. & Florida St. Crews from Spire & Mobile Fire-Rescue are on scene and working to address the issue as quickly as possible. Please avoid the area.
