I was in Torquay a few years ago and visited the location where John Cleese got the inspiration for Fawlty Towers. Unfortunately, Hotel Gleneagles was demolished in 2016, and the site now houses retirement flats. As you can see below, and don't worry, I didn't mention the war 😂
