If the media covered climate change the way it covers Trump, and Trump the way it covers climate change, we'd have neither.

Let's just suppose it's the weather... Still gonna mess up ya lunch😳.

That graph is what accelerated climate change looks like. And we are just at the beginning. Our culture represents none of that. It's dystopic everyday BAU

A better world is possible. But just saying this is not enough. Such a future must be seized, and achieving this will require a struggle for national liberation and economic sovereignty in the global South.

This is more than 'wet weather' @bbcnews. We have to be clear with the public about the devastating costs the climate emergency is already having bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

I am disgusted by reports that the Home Office will begin rounding up and detaining asylum seekers, in preparation for deportation to Rwanda.

This is a terrifying, repulsive election stunt from a government devoid of humanity.

We will resist, together.

$4.3 trillion is needed annually to mitigate the worst impacts of climate collapse (CPI).

Governments paid $7 trillion in fossil fuel subsidies in 2023 (IMF).

Killing billions & ultimately rendering this planet uninhabitable is a political - & therefore a societal - choice.

Just for fun I'm going to challenge one, no, two, fundamental assumptions which underlie global ecosystem catastrophe, commonly referred to by one of its symptoms, climate change.
And I'm going to lean on a third pretty hard.
First, we assume that row crop mechanised agriculture

FYI, when ‘providing for our kids’ means a corporate job, a big mortgage, a bigger car, plastic wrapped animals, endless disposable tat & flying round the world, the thing we’re actually providing them with is a collapsed society on an inhospitable planet.

This is the reality of allowing governments to put more carbon into the atmosphere.

'On climate, we're still following a pathway that takes us unequivocally to disaster,' said Johan Rockström, world leading scientist.

'We're headed for 2.5C, 2.6C or 2.7C—a place we haven't seen for…

'Want a sober reminder of where we are in addressing the climate crisis....????

Over the last 50 years, the oil & gas industry has made $3 billion in profits every day......$52 trillion in pure profit.

It's a capitalist disease that has been on a mission to wipe out our planet.

They want you to believe the Chair of the Philosophy department is the threat to western values and not the masked, armed man brutalising her for expressing anti-war sentiment

We rapidly tear down this system & build a new one that stands a chance of surviving - & gives US a chance of surviving - what’s heading our way this century.

Or we watch this system die, & most of us die with it.

As far as I can see they’re our only options.

They want you to gorge on disposable bullshit & saturate your brain with celebrity & inanity.

They don’t want you to think about this graph & what it means for you & your family.

Because if you did you’d want to rip this system apart. Which is exactly what you should be doing.
