-Class seems related to pain at baseline, and health utility worse in class 3 (infracoccygeal disease).
-Few differences seen post-surgery...

1) It showed fairly good agreement between groups. Agreement between photograph raters was higher than between those assessing from a photograph and those assessing in real life.

And this shows you how it compares to other classification systems. Almost all look at laterality, recurrence, and some look at associated abscess. All look at similar ideas, just measured differently. It suggests the tool has some face validity.

1) Did raters classify cases consistently?
-By asking surgeons to classify photos from the cohort.
2) Did classification correlate with #PROMS ?#
-By exploring class & baseline and post-treatment PROMs

In summary, we think the IPS tool shows:
✅Face validity
✅Inter-rater reliability
✅Concurrent validity

If we are going to address the challenges in the literature, adoption of this classification (now tested), should be considered.
