Detectives need you help identifying two suspects involved in a Felonious Assault.

On 3/30/24 at approximately 1:30am. These two suspects were involved in an altercation behind a bar located in the 500 block of Park St., which resulted in a victim being knocked unconscious.

This morning, one of our officers was assisting a driver involved in an accident on I-71 near 11th Ave., when another vehicle lost control and struck the cruiser.

On 4/9/24 officers were dispatched to Brentnell Ave. on the report of a shooting. Officers located Dedrick Robinson suffering from a gunshot wound. Mr. Robinson was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

Detectives charged Kiante Lee & Terrell Thomas with Murder.

On 3/25/24, officers were dispatched to the area of Meek & Jones on a body in the alley. Medics responded and pronounced John R. Lang deceased at 12:10pm.

On 4/8/24 investigators arrested Derrick L. Brown and charged him with Murder.

On 3/29/24 officers were dispatched to Parsons Ave. & E. Whittier St. on an unknown complaint. Upon arrival, officers found 61-year-old Dwayne Dowdell, unconscious and bleeding from his head. Mr. Dowdell was transported to an area hospital, where he died on 3/30/24.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the Columbus Division of Police completed “Operation Unity,” focusing on North Linden, South Linden, King-Lincoln Bronzeville, Mt. Vernon, Eastgate, Milo-Grogan, and other areas within Zone 6.

City crews are activating the Franklinton floodwall and installing the floodgates on Greenlawn Ave and Harmon Ave due to heavy rainfall.

On 1/10/24, at approximately 2:30am, armed suspects broke into a residence in the area of Hall Rd. & Norton Rd. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property from the home. The victim's ATM card was later used at a nearby Chase Bank ATM.
