🚨 NEW 🚨 Our latest analysis shows that if benefits aren't raised sufficiently, at least 1 in 5 working-age families in most parliamentary constituencies face losing hundreds of pounds on average

It would be morally indefensible if benefits did not keep pace with inflation 🧵👇

Great news that Government WILL follow through on ending no-fault evictions after speculation plans could be dropped.

Necessary to improve tenants lives, rebalance power between landlords and tenants, and set the course for a more functional housing market!

There are very few reasons why scrapping these reforms now could be seen as a good idea.

Popular, cost free, improves millions of people's lives, an easy win.

And, the heavy lifting in building the parliamentary support, developing the ideas, and drafting has been done.

We’ve got used to low interest rates over the last decade, but this week the average mortgage rate jumped to 6%.

Thread of new analysis explaining why 6% mortgage interest rates are VERY scary for family finances, particularly for families on low incomes.

In May/June this year, many mortgage holders in the bottom 40% of incomes were already struggling with paying bills. Rising interest rates pose a big threat to increasing housing costs for everyone with a mortgage, but it is really worrying for those on low incomes. A short🧵1/x
