Tomorrow, I'm traveling to South Africa with members of President Biden Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa.

This important follow-up to the successful U.S.-Africa Business Forum promotes inclusive economic growth & supply chain resilience on both sides of the Atlantic.

In two days, I'll be in South Africa to participate in the African Growth & Opportunity Act Forum and to meet with senior government officials from several partner countries.

I look forward to my second visit to the continent to strengthen commercial relations with the U.S.

As I wrote in my LTE, because of the CHIPS & Science Act, private companies have invested $20 billion in OH manufacturing. These investments will make Ohio home to state-of-the-art facilities making semiconductor chips that go in everything from cars, medical devices & phones.

On Oct. 27, the Biden-Harris administration’s CHIPS team visited my hometown of Cleveland to convene state and local government officials, workforce groups, labor unions and educators to ensure Ohio plays a leading role in this future.
