30/36. After 2hrs of discussion 🤯, Co-Chair, Jean-Christophe Donnellier, was able to adopt the decision for the dates of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th meetings of the Board of the #LossAndDamage Fund. They are:
2⃣nd Meeting: Jul 9-12
3⃣rd Meeting:: 15-19 Sept
4⃣th Meeting: 2-5 Dec
28/36. Alongside others, the Board member for Norway 🇳🇴, Georg Børsting stressed the importance of having a work plan for 2024 decided at the second meeting of the Board to ensure the Board could meet this year's important milestones and deadlines.
13/36. Importantly the adopted decision references the World Bank saying that it is “willing to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the Fund with regards to direct access”. This will allow the Board to hold the Bank to account on delivering this crucial aspect of the Fund.
