I’ve taught this chapter to undergrads. It’s well-pitched and starts great conversations. Keisha Ray, PhD lays out a nice intersectional lens through which to interrogate the history and present of US medicine.

The first chapter of my book “Black Health: The Social, Political, and Cultural Determinants of Black People’s Health is available for FREE. In it, I go over definitions and the basics of racism and medicine and SDOH. It’s super accessible. Prefect for HS and college students!
