'Heading the ensemble, Janie Dee gives an impeccably pitched performance as Ryan... Alfie Friedman provides a sensitive, well-judged depiction of Connor, conveying an effusive personality, infectious humour and sudden, explosive outbursts of frustration.

Interesting how many Laughing Boy reviewers pick up on the disrespectfulness of being called 'mum' by health professionals rather than your name. [So easily changed.]

I want to say something to the people with mental health conditions that have got in touch with me worried / panicked about the govt news on possible benefits changes... NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.

- The govt has put out a green paper. That is an EARLY STAGE consultation document.

When does electioneering become a threat to public health?

Depression and anxiety make an easy target for Stride because he is playing off existing prejudices that sufferers face.

It is damaging.

As someone who receives PIP and has a job as a journalist, I would very much like to know why the Labour Party is going round the media perpetuating the myth PIP is an out of work benefit. Does Reeves know it’s not? Or does she not actually care?

I live by Columbia. Tonight I went for a walk & saw 10+ blocks rapidly barricaded, dozens of police vehicles flying by, large groups of NYPD in riot gear gathering.
I study protest in E Europe. What I saw tonight was some of the most wildly disproportionate policing I've seen

I dunno man, I reckon being asked to submit photographic evidence of concealed self-harm pretty 'rigorous'. An assessor enquiring how often you change you knickers, or 'why you haven't killed yourself' is some top grade rigour.

Our new paper led by Sarah is out today in Autism In Adulthood!

It shows that facial expressivity differences in autism are related to less favorable first impressions formed by non-autistic people, particularly in a job interview context.

Pupils at a London special school were ‘tortured’ in “calming rooms”, a leaked report shows. But some staff shown on CCTV hitting & kicking pupils, many non-verbal, and leaving them in their urine, are still employed there.

Looking forward to serving as a Deputy Editor at Autism In Adulthood!

Contributing to the journal's focus on new insights that promote practice, systems, & policy change for autistic people is exciting! I'm grateful for the invite to join this team & excited for what's next.🥳

This time last year Rishi Sunak met 3 suicide-bereaved dads & assured them better mental health support was a priority for his government. Today he is sending thousands of vulnerable people into despair by threatening to strip them of the (already meagre) benefits they live on

31% of disabled people live in poverty, compared to 19% of non-disabled people

PIP partially mitigates this disadvantage for some

Government lectures on the 'intended purpose' of PIP & what it should be spent on completely gloss over the underlying reality disabled people face

Rachel Charlton-Dailey 💖💜💙 Ive been caring for my mum since i was 15, and they kept me in the assessment room when they were asking her if she made attempts on her own life or if she had suicidal thoughts. Hearing the answers is something they thought was necessary apparently. Its absolutely awful

The Cass report systematic review methodology doesn’t match its PROSPERO pre-registration.

The authors used an entirely different scale (an adapted one they created) instead of the scale from their pre-registration.

That’s about as big of a bias red flag as there is.

Unsurprisingly, Prof Ryan has it right, is so much about love, humanity and righteous anger.

With everything going on in the UK to belittle disabled people, to strip our autonomy and independence, this play, this life, shows the cruelty.
