Always a joy to be introduced to a portrait labelled as that I’ve not seen before. Based on the disputed Holbein sketch, this rather voluptuous example was commissioned in 1728 and forms part of the Buccleuch Collections, hanging at Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries.
