Phil Wood - processual change Rachel Lofthouse I've just completed a piece of research with former physics teachers in England and autonomy/agency came out as a major theme as to why they left teaching, agency that was effectively removed by SLT/MAT.
Rachel Lofthouse Wonder if corporate curricula and scripted lessons are a factor in this. TALIS data shows that the vast majority of teachers join the profession due to a moral imperative. If you can't use your professionalism fully you might decide to move on??
