/blogs/leadreadtoday/blog/the-duality-of-narcissistic-leaders-the-good-the-bad-and-the-downright-dangerous This is so true especially as employees have to deal with the uncertainty of their jobs and to be subjected to this type of behavior, can create more trauma. #Resilience

What occupations do higher functioning narcissists/psychopaths seek? A role where they: - have control. - are seen as an expert so can’t be challenged. - can get away with sadistic ‘toying’ of others emotions & minds. - can lead a double life. - can make extra $$ nefariously.

My data indicates narcissists/psychopaths are NOT on a spectrum. You are one or you are not. Behavioural manifestations vary according to intelligence, socio-economic status, context, impulse control capability etc but all have the same attributes & use the same tactics.

Disrespect doesn’t just make people feel bad. It leads them to perform worse. Evidence from medical teams: Even a single insult decreases the quality of diagnoses and procedures. Rudeness disrupts focus and undermines collaboration. Civility is not optional. It’s vital.

When we have a conflict at work, most of us blame the other person — an incompetent boss, a passive-aggressive colleague, or the resource-hoarding peer in another department. But we should also look inward. s.hbr.org/3nMHB8O

Toxic Cultures become a patient safety issue as staff can't be authentic in the workplace for fear of retribution, it's not psychologically a safe environment to operate at your best.
