Today, PM Dr. Ngirente represented H.E President Kagame at the inauguration ceremony of Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

President Kagame received Rory Stewart, President of GiveDirectly for a discussion on furthering collaboration towards socio-economic transformation. GiveDirectly works in 17 Districts in Rwanda and has provided unconditional cash transfers to over 170,000 households.

This afternoon in New York, President Kagame met with Mayor Eric Adams Eric Adams. They discussed opportunities for partnerships as well as Rwanda’s economic growth and innovative homegrown solutions including Umuganda and Car Free Day.

President Kagame met with members of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers who are in Rwanda for their 3rd board meeting. Rwanda joined the World Alliance of International Financial Centers in 2020 and has established partnerships with financial centers in Casablanca, Qatar, Belgium, Luxembourg & Jersey.

President Kagame and President Embaló sat down for a tête-â-tête before holding bilateral talks with officials from both delegations. The two Heads of State also witnessed the signing of agreements focused on strengthening key areas of cooperation between the two countries.
